7D School Van Driver

Pay: $20.75 - $24.75 per hour Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible 7D Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers while providing a positive and educational experience during transportation. This role involves driving vans for special education students and students with disabilities, while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Must have all required certifications. Special Education Department/Athletics 7D Licensure Option Salary Range: $20.75 to $24.75 based on experience 7D Van Hours Vary Between 25-30 Hours per Week- Morning and Afternoon Runs Optional Summer Run Available Required when available to drive School Events & Field trips, including Athletics, all year round. Responsibilities - Safely operate the bus according to established routes and schedules. - Ensure the safety of all passengers, particularly children and seniors, by adhering to traffic laws and regulations. - Manage behavior on the bus by implementing effective behavior management techniques. - Communicate clearly with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes in service. - Assist passengers as needed, including helping children board and exit the bus safely. - Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle through regular inspections and reporting any issues. - Educate passengers on safety protocols while using the bus service. - Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, fostering a welcoming environment. Skills - Proven experience in school bus driving or similar roles is preferred. - Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle various passenger needs. - Experience in childcare or senior care is a plus. - Ability to drive safely and responsibly under various conditions. - Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers of all ages effectively. - A commitment to educating passengers about safety practices during transit.
