Sutton Dermatology Aesthetics is a thriving, physician-owned dermatology practice consisting of four dermatologists, advanced practice providers and experienced support staff.
We are looking for a Histology Technician/Technologist to join our team.

Hours:
Full time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks), 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday).
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepares microscopic slides on human tissue for diagnostic purposes: includes grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover slipping of both paraffin processed tissue and frozen sectioning
- Verifies the specimen validity, identification, and requisition effectively, utilizing knowledge, skills and resources
- Follows histologic principles regarding specimen acceptability and integrity
- Performs IHC and H&E stains on a variety of tissues to assist in diagnosis
- Receives and accessions specimens to include all manual and computerized data entry
- High school diploma, or equivalent required
- ASCP HTL or HT Certification required
- Prior experience as a lab tech preferred
- Associates degree in related field preferred
- Previous Mohs/frozen section experience preferred, Dermatology experience a plus
