Windows Service Technician Position Summary
The purpose of the position is to service and repair windows, patios doors, sliding glass doors for new construction and residential/commercial retrofit.
Windows Service Technician Job Responsibilities
- Service and repair windows, patio doors, sliding glass doors for residential and commercial buildings.
- Remove and replace windows, patio doors, sliding glass doors for residential and commercial buildings.
- Identify warranty and non-warranty field issues and report accordingly.
- Assess and report any quality issues in reference to the installation process.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Check and update software project management system and appropriate databases.
- Adhere to company procedures and protocols.
- Be a team player willing to help installation crews and warehouse crews
- Be able to work sufficiently independently and unsupervised.
- Daily duties include adjusting components, replacing parts and pieces, performing water tests, taking measurements, and reglazing windows
- Comfortable driving a truck and trailer and working with all basic hand tools
- Work with aluminum and vinyl windows and sliding glass doors.
- Work with single and double entry swing doors.
- Move and transport windows, doors and sliding glass doors.
- Maintain site cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and co-workers.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Windows Service Technician Education/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum (2) two years of experience working with windows and doors installation in new construction.
- Prefer (2) two years of experience general carpentry.
- Prefer minimum of (3) three years of experience with removal and replacement of windows and doors in residential environments.
- Prefer experience with single and double entry swing doors.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license
- Time management skills

- Professionalism
- Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work independently.
- Organizational skill
