About The Opportunity
As a key member of the Aortic Disease Program, you’ll support patients across the continuum of care — from outpatient consultations and longitudinal management to inpatient care and procedural support. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative program focused on excellence in patient outcomes and translational research.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new evaluations, follow-ups, and hospital-based management
- Assist with aortic procedures and perioperative care, including coordination of imaging, diagnostics, and surgical planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery teams
- Conduct telehealth visits and manage patient communications via the Epic platform
- Facilitate continuity of care through coordination with referring providers and subspecialists
- Educate patients and families on aortic disease, treatment options, and long-term management
- Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
- Engage in opportunities for clinical research and program development
- Collaborate directly with Dr. Matthew Solomon, an internationally recognized expert in aortic disease and Chief Scientific Officer at Sutter Health
- Work alongside Dr. David Liang, a nationally known specialist in Marfan syndrome and connective tissue disorders, and Dr. Ed Chen, a leading cardiothoracic surgeon

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Current California NP or PA license
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Additional certifications as required by department
- Prior experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or aortic disease preferred
- New graduates with a strong interest in complex cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply
