Food Service Lead

We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! Organization: STCH-Sutter Tracy Community Hosp Position Overview: Oversees and coordinates the functions of the food services team. Supports department leaders in training new staff. Performs general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage, cleaning and storing dishes, utensils, pots, and performing general department sanitation. Follows clearly defined department policies and recipes to accurately prepare and serve snacks and meals to patients and visitors. Supports the functionality of the department by assisting in a variety of areas including tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 4 years recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated skills in food service, food production techniques and usage of various food service supplies and equipment. Knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and various equipment. Demonstrated leadership skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions. Must have sufficient mathematical ability to perform basic measurement and portioning activities including increasing and decreasing recipes. Ability to meet established deadlines and multi-task in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions. Strong customer service skills. Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI). Pay Range is $28.10 to $33.72 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
