Job Summary
Job Summary
The Student Support Specialist implements direct program services and activities for districts, students and families in the area of student mental wellness, tobacco and substance-use prevention, foster youth services, homeless education and child welfare and attendance. Serves as a liaison for eligible families, caregivers, and students needing access to health, mental health, and community resources including assisting with the navigation of these systems, performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION STARTS IN JULY Any permanent unit member interested in this position must submit a letter of interest and an updated resume with your relevant experience. This process is not open to unit members currently on probation. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Psychology, or Sociology. Experience and training in the field may be considered equivalent to formal education.
