Organization: SEBMF-East Bay Medical Foundation Position Overview: Performs, with MD’s oversight, in the technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) devices. Manages device patients and their care and implements treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. Performs basic interrogation, adjustments to programming per order, and troubleshoot basic, intermediate and advanced device issues. Will also be responsible for remotely monitored patients and provide follow up calls to each patient about the status of their device. ***Experience as a Cardiac Device Technician is preferred*** Job Description: These Principal Accountabilities, Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive, but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: BLS- Basic Life Support Certifications TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Prior experience in a cardiology, clinical support, or allied health setting with exposure to ECG/EKG testing, telemetry, rhythm recognition, exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, or similar cardiac-related workflows. Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythm recognition and ability to complete a competency evaluation or provide proof of rhythm recognition testing. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge, technical skills and abilities to perform the technical aspects of the essential functions. Attention to details. Ability to write legibly.
