Organization: MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center Position Overview: Under the direction of the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer performs basic maintenance and repairs of Hospital owned buildings, equipment, and systems. Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE DL-Valid Drivers License PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Ability to use basic hand tools and painting equipment. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Basic mechanical and electrical experience. Also refer to Position Specifications outlined in the appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Basic computer skills SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Analytical – Collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data. Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions.
