Organization: SEMC - Sutter Eden Medical Center Position Overview: Provides and assist in quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical Services, Telemetry, ED, ICU and various patient care units and Division under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated knowledge of basic patient care skills, clinic procedures, and equipment. Knowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911) Ability to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people. Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline. General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
