Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Perform test drives, test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc.
- Inspect vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
- Execute repairs under warranty to Subaru manufacturer specifications
- Learn new technical information and techniques with new service information released by Subaru
- Explain repair and diagnoses to service advisors in a non-technical manner, and provide a time estimate for additional repairs - notify advisors of any delays. Assist advisors and explain diagnosis/repairs to customers, if needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of customers vehicles and service areas
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred - B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with team members and work together to find solutions, but also work independently and solve problems
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
