Job Description
Full-Time Heavy Line Auto Mechanic will inspect, diagnose and repair automobiles and trucks.
The Automotive Service Technician performs routine service inspections and completes standard to complex vehicle maintenance jobs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform vehicle maintenance in accordance with factory guidelines.
Perform courtesy vehicle inspections, including multi-point inspections.
Perform complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and parts replacement.
Complete all work according to dealership requirements and published procedures.
Ensure customer’s vehicle is returned clean and properly repaired.
Communicate with dealership personnel as required.
Actively participate in the Manufacturer's Certification Programs.
Maintain a clean working environment and comply with all OSHA and EPA policies.
Based upon applicants certification levels, duties may include -
Diagnosis and repair of: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, electrical systems, interior/exterior components, engine and driveline components.
Qualifications:
Dealership Experience Required
5 years of vehicle service and repair experience
Industry certifications such as ASE, electrical and A/C desired.
OE specific mechanical certifications desired.
Requirements:
Must provide his/her own tools.
Candidates should be able to lift 75lbs.
Must be able to safely operate shop equipment.
Strong communication skills
Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule.
Current valid driver’s license and ability to operate company and customer vehicles
Ability to stand for eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
