Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fuel Delivery Driver role based in Kansas City, KS. The Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering fuel products to commercial, industrial, and retail customer locations while following all federal, state, and local regulations. Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, monitoring gauges and meters during loading and unloading, and accurately completing delivery tickets, logs, and related documentation. The driver will follow designated routes and schedules, communicate professionally with dispatch and customers, and report any incidents, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly. The role also involves maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements for fuel or hazardous materials (such as Tanker and HazMat), and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably in fuel or tanker delivery, with strong skills in safe driving, maneuvering, and parking in varied environments.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, hazardous materials handling, and basic vehicle inspection and maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job, including climbing, bending, lifting hoses and equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, meter readings, and verification of product type, quantity, and delivery addresses.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with dispatchers, terminal staff, and customers.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently, manage time well, and follow established routes and schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of relevant driver safety or fuel-handling training is beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet delivery demands.
