Role and Responsibilities
Sustana is the leading manufacturer of sustainably produced, premium recycled fiber and paper, utilizing post-consumer material to create high-quality, low carbon footprint products. We have 12 different locations across North America in three different segments of the pulp and paper industry (Paper, Fiber and Recovery). The Sustana Fiber facility in De Pere, WI. is the leading manufacturer of recycled fiber. Including the responsibilities below:
- Perform welding and fabrication using MIG (wire feed), Stick (arc), TIG, and brazing methods
- Measure, layout, and build custom piping and mechanical components from prints or field measurements
- Work with stainless steel, carbon steel, and PVC in both welded and threaded applications
- Install, align, and repair piping systems and mechanical equipment
- Safely operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, torches, and related power tools
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler and steam systems
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable plant operation
- Follow all company safety policies and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree Preferred
- Journeyman License
- Previous experience in a paper mill, production or warehouse role preferred.
- Working knowledge of industrial water systems, including pumps, valves, and piping
- Familiarity with industrial fire protection and sprinkler systems
- Experience with industrial plumbing applications, including installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety procedures.
