A good knowledge of plant horticulture will give you the keys to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Create strategies to work with clients at the nursery.
- Work with plants and soil.
- Conduct proper pruning, and removal of weeds and unwanted plants.
- Organize the display of different plant species for sale at the nursery
- Work with and communicate with other employees with plant propogation.
- Routinely check the health and status of different plants in the nursery.
- Document all information with the nursery manager.
Skills
- Organizational skills are extremely important for this role.
- Working with the team in a collaborative way is a must.
- Famililarity with working with native plant species.
- Experience in gardening and horticulture practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools (shovels, pruners).
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. We value energetic team players who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about plants.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.24 - $26.78 per hour
