This role is a fit if you are excited by messy, real-world domains and want to grow into deeper product leadership over time.
What you will do:
- Own design for key workflows in the procurement lifecycle: RFQ creation, quote review and comparison, award decisions, purchase order creation, and delivery/exception handling.
- Partner with PM, other designers, and engineers from discovery through delivery. You will help frame problems, test approaches, and make tradeoffs that balance user value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Plan and run lightweight user research. Talk to current manufacturers and suppliers, validate assumptions with rapid prototypes, and iterate based on evidence.
- Produce clear UX artifacts in Figma: journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with our design system.
- Collaborate tightly with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation. You will create specs that enable smooth handoffs and be involved through QA and launch.
- Contribute to our emerging design system and reusable workflow patterns so we can move faster without sacrificing coherence.
- Ship multiple improvements to core workflows that materially reduce user friction.
- Establish trusted working rhythms with PM and engineering partners.
- Partner with other designers to improve the overall design process at Sustinament.
- Demonstrate strong rationale in decision making grounded in user insight and product goals.
- Help evolve consistent patterns for data-dense procurement screens.
- Test design prototypes and concepts with users and potential users.
- Present your designs and the rationale behind them to the team, leadership and stakeholders.
- Be at the forefront of designing AI native experiences based on quickly evolving best practices.
Your areas of expertise:
- 3 years of product design experience on complex web applications or SaaS products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end workflow thinking, not just single screens.
- Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping practices.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and moving from rough problem framing to shipped solutions. Startup experience isn’t required but is a plus.
- Solid collaboration and communication skills, especially with engineers.
- Bonus: experience in enterprise, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, Figma Make, or AI-assisted UX.
