Summary

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented interns to join our Sustainable Beef Summer Internship Program. This program offers hands-on experience in a beef processing environment and is designed for students interested in building a career in the agriculture and beef production industry. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain practical knowledge in their field of study, and contribute to important business and operational functions.

As an intern, you will gain exposure to real-world processes, develop professional skills, and support key departments within the organization. Internship opportunities are available in Operations, Accounting, Technical Services, and Maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Working toward a degree in Agriculture, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Meat Science, Food Science, or a related field preferred
• Junior, Senior, or Graduate level student preferred
• Interest in gaining hands-on experience in beef processing operations or business support functions
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity
• Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards

Preferred skills:

• Interest or exposure to operations, accounting, technical systems, or maintenance processes
• Familiarity with data collection, documentation, and reporting
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Fields Available:
• Operations
Partner with operations teams to gather production data and support process improvement efforts
Assist with documenting job processes and product specifications
Learn how production teams work together to meet operational goals
Support projects related to efficiency, product flow, and performance improvement

• Accounting
Gain hands-on experience in accounting and financial support functions
Assist with data entry, reconciliation, reporting, and general administrative support
Learn financial processes and controls within a production-based business environment
Support department projects and day-to-day accounting operations

• Technical Services
Work with food safety, quality assurance, and product specification programs within the production environment
Assist with data collection, process monitoring, and documentation related to product quality and compliance
Support audits, validation activities, and reporting at various points in the production process
Partner with cross-functional teams to help maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintenance
Learn key processes and equipment systems within the beef production facility
Develop an understanding of preventive maintenance programs, safety protocols, and equipment documentation. Assist with SOP development, maintenance procedures, and spare parts organization
Gain exposure to maintenance systems, manuals, and operational processes
