Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules to ensure efficient use of plant resources while meeting customer demand and maintaining high-quality standards. Your organizational and time-management skills will be essential in creating schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring production goals are met. This position requires a strong understanding of production operations, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to ensure timely customer fulfillment.

Coordinate production workflows to ensure optimal resource allocation, including labor, materials, and machinery.

Work closely with production teams to ensure schedules are followed and adjustments are made based on changing priorities.

Monitor production progress and address any delays, material shortages, or equipment issues to maintain production flow.

Collaborate with various departments (e.g., procurement, maintenance, quality control) to ensure materials are available and production processes run smoothly.

Ensure that all production orders are properly prioritized and scheduled according to customer needs.

Track inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking and optimize inventory turnover.

Provide daily updates on production schedules, including any delays, changes, or adjustments needed.

Generate and maintain reports related to production schedules, machine utilization, and inventory levels.

Work with supervisors to align production schedules with team capacity and ensure safety protocols are maintained.

Promote a culture of safety and efficiency, ensuring all scheduling practices align with plant safety standards.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in scheduling processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or experience in scheduling, supply chain management, or production planning is preferred.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing plant, specifically in a scheduling or planning role, is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Harvest/Offal/Fabrication products preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with above-average skills in spreadsheet management and data analysis.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
