Plant Scheduler

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to ensure timely customer fulfillment. 

• Coordinate production workflows to ensure optimal resource allocation, including labor, materials, and machinery. 

• Work closely with production teams to ensure schedules are followed and adjustments are made based on changing priorities. 

• Monitor production progress and address any delays, material shortages, or equipment issues to maintain production flow. 

• Collaborate with various departments (e.g., procurement, maintenance, quality control) to ensure materials are available and production processes run smoothly. 

• Ensure that all production orders are properly prioritized and scheduled according to customer needs. 

• Track inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking and optimize inventory turnover. 

• Provide daily updates on production schedules, including any delays, changes, or adjustments needed. 

• Generate and maintain reports related to production schedules, machine utilization, and inventory levels. 

• Work with supervisors to align production schedules with team capacity and ensure safety protocols are maintained. 

• Promote a culture of safety and efficiency, ensuring all scheduling practices align with plant safety standards. 

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in scheduling processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. 

Required Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or experience in scheduling, supply chain management, or production planning is preferred. 

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing plant, specifically in a scheduling or planning role, is strongly preferred. 

• Knowledge of Harvest/Offal/Fabrication products preferred. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with above-average skills in spreadsheet management and data analysis. 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders. 

• Strong decision-making skills to resolve scheduling issues and adapt to changes in production needs. 

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in scheduling and inventory management. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals. 

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads with minimal supervision. 

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve scheduling issues as they arise. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of Harvest/Offal/Fabrication products preferred 

• Above average skills on Microsoft Office (Excel) 

• Strong communication, computer and decision-making skills 

• Detail oriented and strong multi-tasking skills 

• Self-motivated
