Job Title: IT / IT Specialist Data Analyst
Location: North Platte, Nebraska

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Information Technology Technical Data Analyst to join our team at Sustainable Beef. In this role, you will report to the IT manager. This role will help oversee the management, support and maintenance of all technology systems within the plant and plant floor. You will collaborate with various departments to enhance technology solutions while fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation among your team. Strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining a reliable IT Environment will be essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency as it pertains to the plant floor.
- Collaborate with department managers on technology projects, ensuring that IT solutions meet business needs.
- Maintain plant software platforms, MES information accuracy and general health of the plant infrastructure.
- Provide clear communication regarding system outages, maintenance, and updates to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with end users to propose and implement new hardware and software solutions.
- Ensure thorough testing of all hardware and software modifications prior to production deployment.
- Oversee system documentation control, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Support and troubleshoot label printing, scales, hand scanners, and other plant floor devices.
- Assist with cybersecurity practices, system backups, and disaster recovery for plant systems.
- Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed to keep plant operations running.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a processing plant is preferred.
- Possess skills and experience in data analysis or business intelligence is desired.
- Minimum of three years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience with SQL, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) preferred.
- Experience supporting ERP or MES systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and motivate employees.
- Functional, working, and troubleshooting knowledge of: Windows 11, Microsoft 365, MS Dynamics BC, PLC, Printers, HMIs, Hand Scanners is a plus.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies, as well as software development experience, is a plus.
Functional Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Maintain good personal hygiene.
- Lift, push, and pull products in a cold/hot environment
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and noisy environments wearing required PPE (e.g., hard hat, frock, hearing protection).
