Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead production financial reporting and related operational accounting tasks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, inventory reconciliation, and performance analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be the go-to person for compiling and interpreting financial and statistical data that support both daily operations and long-term business goals. This is a multi-task environment where attention to detail, analytical ability, and effective communication can truly make a difference.
You will report directly to the Controller and participate in cross-training for production reconciliation, yield reporting, and efficiency analysis. Hours of work will vary based on the accounting period and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead resource for production-related financial reporting and data analysis
- Compile and evaluate statistical and financial data to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Conduct daily production reconciliation, expense tracking, and yield analysis
- Support the preparation of weekly scorecards and financial summaries for operations leadership.
- Ensure accuracy in inventory reporting and collaborate with production teams on variance resolution
- Cross-train in multiple areas of accounting operations as assigned by the Controller
- Maintain data integrity across multiple reporting platforms and sources
- Exercise sound judgment in interpreting data, setting priorities, and maintaining confidentiality
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts across financial processes and reporting tools
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller
Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience OR bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and yield reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfortable working with multiple departments, data systems, and changing priorities
- Experience managing sensitive data and upholding confidentiality standards
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload based on cyclical business demands
