What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Assistant & Driver (CDL) 2nd shift position at Sussex IM?
JOB DUTIES:
1. Loads and operates company owned semi trailers between two plants (approx. 2 miles) in a safe and responsible manner. CDL-A Required License.
2. Works closely with Warehouse Manager and other shipping personnel to maintain efficiencies.
3. Completes shipping tickets and other necessary paperwork. Works with Customer Service to assure timely and accurate shipments to our customers.
4. Receives materials and oversees that incoming inspection procedures are completed and materials properly stored.
4. Fills out tractor and trailer condition forms after vehicle use.
5. Safely operates lift trucks throughout the warehouse and while loading and unloading trailers.
6. Use good interpersonal communicate to assists the users of the warehouse with any problems that they have with the warehouse operation or inventory levels.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Flexible 2nd Shift Hours (40 hours)
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Proficiency in basic arithmetic
Ability to be forklift & scan gun trained
Ability to lift 100 lbs. at one time
Pass a background screening
Must have Class-A CDL License
