Job Summary:
The Sussex County Miners are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic performer to bring Herbie the Miner to life at Skylands Stadium and community events! As our beloved mascot, you will engage with fans of all ages, entertain the crowd, and enhance the overall game-day experience.
The Sussex County Miners are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic performer to bring Herbie the Miner to life at Skylands Stadium and community events! As our beloved mascot, you will engage with fans of all ages, entertain the crowd, and enhance the overall game-day experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform as Herbie the Miner at all Miners home games and select community events.
- Interact with fans in a fun, engaging, and family-friendly manner.
- Create entertaining and spontaneous moments throughout the stadium.
- Participate in on-field promotions, in-game contests, and special performances.
- Pose for photos, sign autographs (as Herbie), and generate excitement.
- Maintain the mascot costume and ensure it is clean and presentable.
- Follow all safety and performance guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Outgoing personality with strong non-verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable performing in a full-body costume for extended periods.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, dance, and run in costume.
- Prior experience in mascot performance, acting, dance, or entertainment is a plus.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Must be at least 16 years old (preferred 18 ).
Additional Information:
- Height requirement: 5'8" – 6'2" to ensure a proper fit in the costume.
- Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to engage with children and adults in a friendly, appropriate manner.
