Head Coach Mens Soccer

Sussex County Community College is seeking an Head Men's Soccer Coach for the 25-26 Season. The Head Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for preparing and training the Soccer team to perform competitively throughout the season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the sport, excellent motivational skills, and the ability to foster teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Program leadership and development
• Build a successful men's soccer program in a manner consistent with the principles and goals of the institutional Athletic Department Mission Statemen
• Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues and institutional colleagues;
• Direct coaching activities during practice and competition;
• Prioritize and organize recruitment activities for the program;
• Abide by the rules, regulations and philosophies of the College as well as any affiliation rules and regulations which may be applicable to the sport;
• •Prioritize student-athletes in academic success and overall campus experience;
• Follow and abide by all safety rules and regulations;
• Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Soccer program, aligning with the values of Sussex County Community College and NJCAA Division I principles;
• Oversee the planning, organization, and implementation of practices, game strategies, and training sessions;
• Develop a competitive and inclusive team culture that prioritizes student-athlete success both on and off the field; Recruitment & Retention
• Lead recruitment efforts to attract talented student-athletes who are a strong fit academically, athletically, and culturally with the college;
• Collaborate with the admissions department and maintain relationships with high school coaches, clubs, and potential recruits to build a diverse and competitive roster; Mentorship & Student Development

 Qualifications:

• Previous playing/coaching of soccer preferred.  Knowledge of rules associated with sports is required.  
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Salary: $7500 per season
