You would:
- Generate design concepts, designs, detail, and assembly drawings
- Calculate appropriate dimensions and tolerances
- Ensure designs meet requirements for precision, stability, thermal control, and vibration performance
- Review and modify designs for efficient manufacturability
- CAD & Bill of Materials creation and maintenance with SolidWorks, SAP, ECTR
- Work within the requirements of internal product development processes
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards (SEMI, ISO, etc.) and internal quality requirements
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments (FMEA)
You need:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant technical degree)
- Three or more years of design engineering of precision machinery, preferably in the semiconductor equipment industry
- Fundamental knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes
- Thorough knowledge of geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and ISO standards
- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks 3D CAD system
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems for document, material, BOM and revisions-preferably SAP and ECTR
- Knowledge of Semi Spec standards a plus
