Security Engineer | Data Protection | Experienced Hire

Overview

We are seeking a Security Professional to join our team of engineers who are responsible for understanding and protecting against today's cyber threats in our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. We leverage our extensive experience and broad backgrounds to work with our business units to efficiently maintain Susquehanna's competitive business advantage while implementing needed security for today's landscape. We are looking for passionate and curious security professionals who want to leave their mark on our ever-evolving program.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and engineer new solutions to improve existing data classification and protection technologies across the organization.
• Design and execute on diverse projects to improve the data protection infrastructure and increase efficiency and detection rates.
• Work with teams within Security and across the organization internationally to understand and protect business critical data.
• Have the freedom and autonomy to dive deeply into related technologies, understanding how they work and their application to Susquehanna, and how they be a component in our next solution.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Networking & Systems Administration, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline required; experience can substitute for education
• 2 years of experience designing, implementing, and support security technologies
• Strong technical understanding of information security concepts, common attacks and mitigation techniques, and ability to make risk-based decisions
• Understanding of operating systems internals and security practices
• Understanding of common network protocols
• Python, PowerShell, or similar programming experience
• Solid communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to audiences regardless of their technical proficiency
