Duties
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
- Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort for both pets and staff
- Assess each dog’s health condition during grooming sessions and communicate any concerns to owners
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and workstations to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining grooming procedures, offering pet care advice, and addressing client questions or concerns
- Support pet handling with patience and professionalism during all interactions, especially with animals requiring special attention or training
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint methods, and pet care best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and safety standards
