Duties
- Assist sushi chefs with ingredient preparation, including slicing fish and vegetables using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support in assembling sushi rolls and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Operate basic kitchen equipment such as rice cookers, slicers, and refrigeration units safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold food safety management protocols
- Help with general kitchen cleaning duties, including sanitizing surfaces and disposing of waste appropriately
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
Skills
