Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring an overall enjoyable experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like suggestive selling (Upselling)
- Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable is a plus
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous for better coordination with kitchen staff
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
