Sushi Zushi is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for our location in San Antonio TX, to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit. Assistant Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive.
Job Duties:
- Assists the GM and establishes local restaurant marketing plan and implements plan using restaurant resources and marketing budget.
- Assists the GM to manage restaurant’s Profit & Loss to optimize profit, control cost of goods, labor, comps and controllable.
- Maintains a safe & healthy environment by establishing and enforcing sanitation standards & procedures.
- Controls inventory by establishes par levels for supplies and equipment; monitors and maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment within budget.
- Works closely with the Facilities Team to ensure that everything within the Restaurant is working properly and communicates any concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to use MS Office to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Three to five years related experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
