Sushi Zen is seeking hardworking and passionate individuals to join our team! Front of House (Server/ Server Assistants/ Takeout) and Back of House (Kitchen Cooks) positions are available. SERVER/SERVER ASSISTANT
We are looking to hire an experienced server who is passionate about Japanese cuisine and culture and looking to work in a positive team environment. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions and are expected to be attentive by making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and traits:
- Minimum 1 years serving experience in a restaurant (A Plus but Not required)
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to create rapoir with customers and be able to upsell
- Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude
- Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
- Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitask
- Able to take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to handle proper check procedures and money handling

KITCHEN COOK
Under the general guidance of the Executive Chef, perform the daily execution of all assigned production at the designated station. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality food is served at all times. Cooks handle all aspects of their assigned cooking station – sets up, stock product, cook, and presents dishes according to standard restaurant recipes, cleans, sanitizes and maintains equipment, utensils and tools. Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and traits:
- Minimum of one year of fast food production or kitchen food production
- Ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment and have a high attention to detail
- Exhibit a solid knowledge, understanding and application of various cooking techniques
- Ability to identify and safely use all kitchen equipment
- Able to regularly restock all kitchen supplies and food items as required for service
- Works as a team, assisting with all needs and inquiries
- Has excellent verbal communication and can effectively communicate with Chefs and Managers
- Eagerness to learn constantly
