Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional techniques and recipes.
- Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
- Follow head chef’s leadership and orders, and collaborate with the kitchen and dining team to deliver menus that cater to customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Manage ingredients and inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage.
- Observe the best practice and compliance to the rules and regulations at the workplace as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef.
- Expert in customer service at the sushi bar counter.
- Must know how to prepare and serve omakase sushi orders on high pace demand.
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various fish types and their handling requirements.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; catering experience is advantageous.
