Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, energetic attitude and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Manage reservations and waitlists using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and efficient service flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues promptly and courteously
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices during guest interactions

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest relations
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and restaurant operations is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively, energetic demeanor
• Experience in serving or hospitality roles that demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail
