Line Cook

Line Cook – Thai Cuisine (Full-Time)

Sushi Siam is looking for a dependable, hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have experience with a wok, and take pride in preparing high-quality food, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Sushi Siam’s recipes and quality standards.
• Operate a wok and other commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
• Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with cleaning and closing duties.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience required.
• Experience using a wok is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Thai cuisine is preferred. Experience with other Asian cuisines is also a plus and will be given additional consideration.
• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Positive attitude with a strong team-player mentality.
• Willing to learn new recipes and cooking techniques.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Six days per week
• Split shift:
• 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• 4:20 PM – Approximately 9:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• $16.50–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Overtime paid in accordance with Illinois law.
