Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty creations with precision and artistry
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and flavor
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and optimize workflow during busy service times
- Educate guests about different types of sushi, ingredients, and presentation styles to enhance their dining experience
- Keep the sushi station organized, stocked, and well-maintained at all times
- Assist in developing new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
