What you’ll do
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality through meticulous food handling practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Demonstrate exceptional knife skills in the precise preparation of fish and vegetables
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food safety standards
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations and enhance their dining experience
- Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing your culinary talents beyond the restaurant
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in a sushi chef role or similar culinary position within a fine dining environment
Preferred qualifications
- Dietary department experience
- Dietary aide experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of food service operations and kitchen experience
