Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service at the cashier station.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payments using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Manage food orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in order entry and timely delivery to customers.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic food handling and sanitation practices.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, including bussing tables and managing food safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Support food service operations by assisting with serving, food prep, or other duties during busy periods.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of transactions and perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast-food restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, sales upselling, and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in cashiering within the food industry or retail settings like grocery stores or cafes is highly desirable.
- Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly while maintaining quality service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment involving serving, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations.
