What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Daytime Server position at Sushi Lover?
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Assist with menu recommendations and answer questions about the menu
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining area surfaces regularly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
- Strong math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of basic math for calculating bills and tips
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to anticipate needs and provide personalized service
- Familiarity with food service procedures and standards
- Sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials
- Proficiency in using OpenTable or similar reservation software is a plus
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tables simultaneously
