Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls with precision and consistency
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Oversee fish butchery, portioning, and proper storage techniques
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage prep lists, inventory levels, and ordering needs for sushi ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during high-volume periods
- Train and mentor junior staff or cross-trained team members as needed
- Contribute to menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef or in a high-volume sushi kitchen
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish handling and sushi techniques
- Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to take initiative and lead by example
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Food handler’s card (or willingness to obtain one)

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
