You’ll also play a vital part in delivering delicious food from the kitchen to our guests with enthusiasm and precision. Duties

• Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations, and seat patrons efficiently using restaurant reservation systems such as OpenTable or Aloha POS
• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bartenders
• Deliver food orders promptly and professionally, maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic meal assembly or garnishing
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting
• Support the kitchen team by dishwashing, handling food safely, and assisting with basic meat cutting or knife skills if required
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros or Aloha POS, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Provide exceptional in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries, managing phone etiquette for reservations or questions, and fostering guest relations to enhance overall guest experiences

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
• Basic math skills for order taking, cash handling, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with restaurant technology such as OpenTable, Micros POS, or Aloha POS is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the dining area, and lift moderate loads when bussing tables or assisting in the kitchen
• Familiarity with catering services or dietary accommodations can be advantageous
• A friendly demeanor combined with excellent phone etiquette ensures memorable guest interactions
