Salary Range: $45,500 - $50,000

General Duties and Responsibilities:  

  1. Arrive on time and ready to work at the start of each shift. 

  1. Greet customers in a friendly manner and prepare food items in a timely fashion according to the menu and/or customer requests. 

  1. Maintain a clean and orderly work area; practice proper food handling, food safety, and sanitation standards to ServSafe requirements at all times. 

  1. Demonstrate a complete understanding of our menu, ingredients, and the process in which our food is prepared in order to communicate with and educate customers. 

  1. Ability to use the cash register to perform card and cash transactions to complete customer purchase. 

  1. Openly communicate with and assist other employees on various aspects of the job in order to maintain our teamwork-centered atmosphere. 

  1. Complete opening and closing duties in accordance with approved SOP. 

  1. Report any health and safety concerns or violations immediately to management. 

  1. Maintain a professional appearance and excellent grooming standards compliant with the Atarashi Dress Code. 

  1. Perform other related duties as delegated to by Regional Manager. 

  General Manager Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Work with the Assistant General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This entails handling customer service issues, ensuring that SOPs are being followed by Team Members, problem-solving throughout the day, and delegating tasks to Team Members. 

  1. Work with Supervisors and Assistant General Manager to count products that we receive from our Central Kitchen and order accordingly. 

  1. Work with Assistant General Manager to ensure that daily restaurant practices are completed according to ServSafe standards. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, food preparation and handling, etc. “Servsafe Manager” certificate required or must be eligible to obtain shortly after hire. 

  1. Investigate and resolve food quality and customer service complaints. 

  1. Estimate food/beverage/supply costs and needs and order from vendors accordingly. Receive deliveries, put products away, and check that invoices match the actual products received. 

  1. Oversee all employee management such as hiring, interviewing, write-ups, and termination. Write semi-annual reviews for every team member and meet with each to discuss and review performance; oversee in-house promotions. 

  1. Assist the Assistant General Manager in establishing and controlling the weekly work schedule for the staff. 

  1. Perform weekly and biweekly payroll and labor calculations. Communicate with team members to keep track of missed clock-ins/clock-outs. 

  1. Perform weekly calculations to keep track of and analyze all fees associated with our delivery platforms (UberEATS, Grub Hub, Doordash, Postmates). 

  1. Analyze all financial transactions to identify and follow spending/earning trends in order to cut unnecessary costs and ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. 

  1. Other duties may be shared with or delegated to by the Regional Manager. 

   

Education/Experience: 

We are looking for an applicant with strong leadership skills who is willing to learn. Some relevant experience in a management role required. One to three years of restaurant management experience preferred. Training will be provided to ALL new employees – we will mold our training process to your relevant needs depending on previous restaurant experience or the lack thereof. 

 

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must come to work with a good attitude and open mind. They must be willing to work with Team Members, Supervisors, and Managers to create a productive, healthy, and teamwork-centered environment where we can successfully perform the duties required of us. 

Language Ability: Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers in English. Must be able to read and interpret company SOPs. 

Math Ability: Must be able to apply basic concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must be able to count cash to accurately complete cash transactions.  

Reasoning Ability: Must be able to effectively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Work Environment:  

While performing the duties of this job, employees will work with sharp objects such as knives and box cutters on a daily basis. Willingness to learn safe knife-handling technique is a must. Employees will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and be exposed to inclement weather conditions. 

The noise level in our work environment is usually loud and consists of a combination of customer conversation, employee communication, and music played over speakers.  

 

Physical Demands:   

Employees are regularly required to be on your feet for 5 hours; reach, grab, and carry items; taste or smell food products; and communicate with customers and other team members. Employees are occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, or crouch. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
