Position Overview
The Event Sales Coordinator drives local business development and event and catering revenue for the Simplevenue restaurant group. Based in South Florida, this role manages incoming leads for South Florida and surrounding markets, develops local business and referral relationships across markets, supports key South Florida events on-site and works closely with marketing on collaborations, activations and business lead generation. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail.
Pay$55,000 base salary plus commission.
Responsibilities- Generate event and catering bookings through targeted outreach, networking and client followup.
- Manage incoming leads for the region and surrounding markets from initial inquiry through booking and event planning.
- Build business and referral relationships with local businesses, hotels, event planners and community organizations across markets.
- Coordinate event details with clients, venue managers and culinary teams.
- Support key local events onsite to ensure details are carried through and guests are well cared for.
- Work closely with marketing on collaborations, activations and business lead generation.
- Develop repeat business and referrals through ongoing client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, bookings and revenue.
- Track progress toward quarterly sales goals and adjust outreach strategies as needed.
- Uphold company standards for hospitality, service and professionalism. Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in event sales, catering sales or event planning, preferably in restaurants or hospitality.
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and generate new business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with venue and marketing teams across markets.
- Familiarity with the local hospitality and events market preferred.
- A passion for food, hospitality and guest service.
- Availability for local outreach and events, including evenings and weekends as needed.
