The Role
We're looking for a warm, highly organized Front Office Medical Assistant who genuinely loves people and understands that the patient experience starts the moment they walk in the door. You'll be the face of the practice — supporting both the clinical and administrative sides of a busy integrative GI office.
What You'll Do
- Greet and room patients; update demographics, medical history, vitals, and chief complaint
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Assist with discharge — medication orders, referrals, follow-up scheduling
- Administer IM/SC injections as directed by physician
- Handle billing — copay collection, charge posting, EOBs, daily collection log
- Manage prior authorizations, medical records, and patient correspondence
- Maintain supplement and medication sample inventory
- Supervise front desk receptionist
What We're Looking For
- Medical Assistant certification (required)
- 1–4 years experience in a medical office setting
- Front AND back office experience strongly preferred
- Genuine warmth and exceptional people skills — our patients deserve it
- Comfortable in an integrative medicine environment and curious about holistic care
- Proficient in EMR software, MS Office, and QuickBooks (or willing to learn)
- Calm, organized, and able to multitask in a small practice setting
