What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grill/Line Cook position at SURV Restaurant?
SURV Restaurant is an addition to the vibrant Lehigh Valley restaurant scene, and sister to Edge in Bethlehem. Executive Chef Timothy Widrick and his Culinary team are the creative minds behind both locations and is looking to add to his team at SURV. We are searching for individuals that are as passionate with their creativity as we are, to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and timely meal delivery.
- Monitor inventory and assist with menu planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Strong food handling and culinary skills, including knife skills
- Familiarity with meal preparation and food service standards
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning and fine dining practices is advantageous
- Background in catering and serving is relevant
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
