We’re looking for a proactive Operations Lead to support daily production activities, coordinate schedules, and ensure safe, efficient workflow. This role involves hands‑on work with blending, equipment operation, and quality testing while helping keep production and order fulfillment on track. Ideal candidates are detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with chemical processes.
Operations Lead
Responsibilities
- Review daily production needs, verify material availability, and prioritize blending or order-picking activities to meet customer demand.
- Monitor outgoing shipments, assist in pulling orders and ensure accurate and timely preparation of materials for shipment.
- Safely operate blending equipment, follow established formulas, and mix chemical products in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Learn and utilize SAP (inventory system) for production planning, inventory tracking, order scheduling, and documentation of production activities.
- Conduct required tests, document results, and generate quality-control reports. Assist with test trials and ensure all products meet internal and regulatory specifications.
- Work hands-on with production equipment, including tension machines and other mechanical tools, while applying mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical processes.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Good computer skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, face shield, gloves, and a respirator when working with chemicals.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance as part of daily production activities.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment involving chemicals, equipment noise, and physical movement.
