Custodian Maintenance

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian Maintenance to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial or industrial facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to janitorial and custodial tasks, ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors alike. Prior experience in cleaning, floor care, or facilities maintenance is highly valued to support the smooth operation of our premises.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas of the facility.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Handle janitorial responsibilities including trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining restrooms.
• Assist with residential painting projects or minor repairs as needed to support facility upkeep.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks that may involve specialized equipment or techniques for large-scale or heavy-duty cleaning.
• Perform facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper cleaning procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of cleaning schedules and special projects.
• Heavy equipment operations/snow removal experience advantageous
• Regular maintenance knowledge is recommended

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
• Experience with residential painting or general facilities maintenance is advantageous.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures. Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
