What are the responsibilities and job description for the SMT Operator position at Surmotech?
The SMT Machine Operator is responsible to set-up and run jobs to meet output schedules. The Machine Operator is accountable to the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager, with technical support also provided by the Quality Manager. The Machine Operator must maximize equipment and process productivity with high attention to process controls while monitoring product quality. The Machine Operator will provide preventative maintenance and repair to SMT Work Center equipment within capability.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
· One-plus years experience in the SMT assembly process running Screen Printers, SMT Placement equipment and Reflow oven.
· Recent SMT experience/knowledge involving component identification, placement and IPC 610 Standards.
· Knowledge of ESD Guidelines
· Must be able to read Bills of Material, interpret drawings and SMT related CAD information
· Good, general mechanical knowledge/skills and attention to detail.
· Good, basic computer skills (ex, entering data; transferring files form one folder to another.)
· Excellent manual dexterity and good hand eye coordination
· Excellent communication and “people” skills
· Must be reliable and punctual, in regard to attendance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
