Medical Billing Manager

Duties

· Manage all aspects of medical billing, coding oversight, and revenue cycle operations

· Submit, track, and reconcile insurance claims, payers

· Monitor and work billing denials, underpayments, and appeals to maximize reimbursement

· Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances

· Ensure accurate patient demographic and insurance information is verified and maintained

· Collaborate with front office, clinical staff, and providers to resolve billing issues

· Maintain compliance with payer guidelines, CMS regulations, and clinic policies

· Supervise and train billing staff; conduct performance monitoring and improvement initiatives

· Generate billing, AR, and financial performance reports for leadership

· Identify trends, workflow gaps, and opportunities for process improvement

Qualifications

· Proven experience managing a medical billing or revenue cycle team within a healthcare setting

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2-3 years in AR and a leadership or management role

· Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance verification, and payer requirements

· Experience with vascular/vein clinic billing is highly preferred

· Proficiency in EMR and billing software (experience with [insert system if applicable])

· Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding (certification a plus)

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and leadership abilities

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
