This position will be based in Miami, Florida, reporting to the Director Product Specialist.
Job Summary:
The Product Specialist ensures optimum operational performance for simulators installed at customer sites. This position delivers technical service to customers, including installation, relocation, repair, preventative maintenance, and conducts product demonstrations.
The ideal candidate for this job is someone willing to learn new skills and embrace challenges. The position will work in a customer-facing environment within the healthcare industry to ensure customer satisfaction.
This position is remote and requires up to 60% travel.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and proactively to provide onsite technical and phone support to Surgical Science customers.
- Complete system installs, upgrades & retrofits.
- Educate and train Surgical Science services to customers.
- Maintain demo equipment and parts inventory.
- Set up, operate, and support simulators for customer demos, workshops, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver compelling product demonstrations.
- Document and update customer records based on interactions.
- Educate client personnel (physicians, surgeons, etc.) on the use of the simulators.
- Attend conferences, trade shows, and support live demonstrations.
- Provide technical support when not travelling.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and repair of electronic systems and computers.
- Solid knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail.
- Ability to speak effectively before customers and act in an advisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations in clinical or educational settings.
- Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in the business environment and a commitment to professionally represent Surgical Science with its customers.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple interruptions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Experience supporting or delivering product demonstrations in a technical or healthcare environment preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- PC hardware proficiency.
- Medical terminology proficiency a plus.
- Must have valid passport for international travel when needed.
- Must live in Miami, Florida vicinity.
