About the Role:
As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in promoting post-surgical health and wellness through nutrition. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the dietary needs of post-surgical patients and develop personalized nutrition plans that align with their health goals. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for individuals with various medical conditions. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices to enhance their overall well-being. Ultimately, your expertise will empower individuals to make informed dietary decisions that lead to improved health outcomes.
Expectation is one on site visit with a report per month. Availability for menu consultation for specialized menus if needed, and consultation for surveys as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- Current Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Experience in clinical nutrition or a specific area of dietetics, such as pediatrics or geriatrics.
- Certification in a specialized area of nutrition, such as sports nutrition or diabetes education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, including evaluating dietary habits and health conditions.
- Evaluate the food preparation areas for continuous compliance with all city, county, state, and federal regulations.
- Work with full time Dietary Manager to establish menus, policies, and emergency procedures for population served.
- Educate full time Dietary Manager as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families on nutrition-related topics and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure integrated care and support for patients with specific dietary requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutrition plans as necessary to achieve desired health outcomes.
