Duties
- Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time using EHR systems, ensuring precise medical documentation of patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely completion of documentation, facilitating smooth clinic workflows and accurate billing processes.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical confidentiality policies to produce high-quality medical documentation aligned with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate medical documentation efficiently.
- Proficient typing skills with high speed and accuracy.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is highly desirable.
