What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist - MRI position at Surgery Partners Brand?
Responsible for taking MRI exams and following established procedures for patient care and safety.
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered, required.
- MRI Certification with ARRT, preferred.
- Current State License, required.
- BLS, required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of Xray experience, required
- Minimum of 1 year of MR experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of X-ray Equipment and Procedures.
- Anatomy and Physiology.
- Knowledge of Radiation Safety.
- Ability to follow and apply written direction.
- Attention to detail when performing radiologic exams.
- Computer and keyboarding skills.
- Working knowledge of MRI procedures and protocol.
- Working knowledge of MRI equipment and hazards common to MRI.
- Skill in injecting contrast media.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting MRI exams.
